The ladder is a training system used to test a pilots 1v1 skills. This is how a combat pilot learns the required techniques to be an effective killer in the sky. A typical 1v1 will start with the two pilots at the same altitude, difficulty settings, and planes. The two aircraft will then turn towards each other and pass each other. This is known as the merge and at this point the fight is on and may the best pilot win.

LEVELS: There are 4 skill levels in the ladder and they work as follows: CADET ------ All pilots start here and must win 1 Ladder Challenge to move up a rank. ROOKIE ---- Will need to win 3 challenges against other rookies to move up a rank. VETERAN -- Will need to win 5 challenges against other veterans to move up a rank. ACE ---------- Challenges at this rank are for BEST of the BEST = THE TOP ACE

After the challenge is acknowledged the fight must take place within 1 week. 4. Failure to acknowledge or show for a challenge is a forfeit and the no show will drop 1 spot on the ladder. 5. Best 3 out of 5 kills wins the challenge. 6. If the challenger loses they will drop 1 spot on the ladder, if the challenged loses they will drop 2. 7.
